Care
If you are taking blood thinning medications, vitamin e, fish oil or aspirin please discuss with your technician. All lip procedures require an anti-herpetic medication (Acyclovir or Valtrex) if you have ever had a cold sore. You must contact your physician and start the day before the procedure or as directed. 1-2 grams per day for 5 days are usually the best protocol. If you are using any eyelash growth products, such as Latisse, they must be discontinued a few weeks before any eyeliner procedure and remain off until follow up is completed. Botox needs to be done a week before or after brows and eyeliner. No facials, swimming or sun for 2 weeks after treatments. A daily SPF is recommended for all ip and brow procedures as sun does fade pigments. Any lip fillers need to be completed 1 month before treatment or 1 month after follow up treatment.
